INTERVIEW - Go Behind the scenes on Burrow with Pixar director Madeline Sharafian. Burrow is a brand new short animation streaming on Disney Plus. It was originally due to debut in cinemas alongside Pixar animation SOUL (from Pete Docter) but due to Covid-19 it will stream on Disney Plus.


Produced by Mike Capbarat. It is considered part of the SparkShorts series. Other Sparkshorts films include Purl, Smash and Grab, Kitbull, Float, Wind & Loop, Out. The shorts have been praised for their more mature themes compared to traditional Pixar feature productions and can be watched on Disney Plus Streaming Links.

In BURROW, the story follows a young rabbit as she tries to build the burrow of her dreams, becoming embarrassed each time she accidentally digs into a neighbor's home.

This is the third short released by Pixar that features hand-drawn animation, the first two being Day & Night and Kitbull.

And BURROW is the fifth Disney rabbit protagonist, after Br'er Rabbit from Song of the South, Roger Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit short films, Alec Azam from Presto and Judy Hopps from Zootopia.

Previously director Madeline Sharafian has worked on other Pixar titles such as Coco, Weekends, Omelette, We Bare Bears : Goodnight Icebear and now the Sparkshorts Burrow, we’re excited to see her future work at Pixar Studios.
