In this video I take the boat completely off the old trailer and move it to the new trailer. Doing a trailer swap on land is risky and dangerous. Using adequate cribbing is crucial. I use 6x6 lumber for the cribbing and the only other tool I used is a floor jack to make this transfer.

Note, I Do not recommend that anyone try this. This 1983 Classic Boston Whaler Montauk is around 800 pounds stripped. I figured it would be better to do the transfer now before an engine, console and everything else is mounted which would bring the weight up to about 1500 pounds.

Still, 800 pounds can do some serious if not lethal damage.
