The Charles and Di phenomenon arrives in the new season of "The Crown.”

Josh O'Connor reprises his role as Prince Charles and Emma Corrin joins the show as Lady Diana Spencer.

The royal duo was a rock star couple in the '80s - and the cast got to feel a bit like their real counterparts, when filming crowd scenes based on their royal tours.

"A lot of interaction. Yeah. It just makes everything a bit more stressful. So I can't, yeah, and if we're finding it stressful you just know that they would have been by like 10 times," explains Corrin.

Whereas O'Connor was already starting to feel Dianamania eclipse Charles in those scenes.

"We very much tell the story of Diana's kind of rise into the kind of fandom that surrounds her and so often they kind of exit the car and they'd be like, mad cheers for Diana on one side and then sort of like, 'Hmm there's Charles.’"
