chris pratt portrays the character in the marvel cinematic universe films guardians of the galaxy (2014), guardians of the galaxy vol. 2 (2017), avengers: infinity war (2018), avengers: endgame (2019), thor: love and thunder (2022), guardians of the galaxy: holiday special (2022), and guardians of the galaxy vol. 3 (2023). avengers endgame was kinda crazy.

and now he faces jack sparrow in a rap battle.

captain jack sparrow is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the pirates of the caribbean film series and franchise. an early iteration of sparrow was created by screenwriters ted elliott and terry rossio.

in the films, sparrow is one of the nine pirate lords in the brethren court, the pirate lords of the seven seas.

sparrow is introduced seeking to regain his ship, the black pearl, from his mutinous first mate hector barbossa.

the pirates of the caribbean series was inspired by the disney theme park ride of the same name, carried across 5 pirates of the caribbean movies and when the ride was revamped in 2006, the character of captain jack sparrow was added to it.
