We explore the actual history of one of the rare arts of Chinese Kung Fu, Monkey style. In fact, there are three monkey styles in China.
1. Shaolin Monkey - The oldest of the three. Created by Shaolin Monks
Looks more like a man imitating a monkey. Extremely rare.
2. Wu Shu Monkey - An acrobatic form of monkey. Used in the Chinese opera or the communist version of Monkey.
3. Tai Shing Pek Kwar - The youngest of the bunch. Extremely low postures because its founder practiced Tei Tong, the Great Earth System. He combined the low stances with five monkey characteristics.

Grandmaster Michael Matsuda is the only 6th Generation successor of the art. In fact, Grandmaster Chan Sau Chung handwrote a letter of encouragement to Matsuda. Matsuda continues to teach the art today and you can purchase the Tai Shing art on Monkeykungfu.com.
