If you've been a fan of football for a while, you're probably familiar with what I like to call the "attitude era" of the English Premier League.

This was essentially a time between the early 90s (when the competition began) and roughly the mid 2000s, when players were far more aggressive and referees were far more forgiving.

In this time period, the roughest of players were famously referred to as 'hardmen'. And although there were several 'hardmen' type players, very few (if any at all) came close to being as successful as Roy Keane.

With that being said, it's been some time, since he retired. We may all be in need of a refresher on how iconic he really was.

So how good was Roy Keane, really?
