Yes there is a Burning Man happening this year. It is known as ROGUE BURN 2021. There are no tickets. It is free to attend. Come and go as you like.

Is there a Burning Man this year? The Burning Man Organization has officially cancelled Burning Man for 2021, but there is an unofficial Burning Man this year known as ROUGE BURN 2021. Black Rock City is open to camp inside. So the event is being organized by Burners without the Burning Man Organization. THERE ARE NO TICKETS. Normally the very difficult ticket for BM will run you around $400... IF you can get one. This year, there is no ticket. This year you can drive onto the Playa whenever you want, as often as you want. It's FREE.

There will be no large builds. No portable toilets. No burns.


HOW TO USE A PORTABLE CAMPING TOILET
Here’s how it’s done. You line the bucket with the trash bag… pour a few cups of kitty litter in the bottom… place the lid (or seat) on top… have TP nearby… and you’re set. When the time comes, you can use your tent, or go for a drive to a remote spot on the playa (opening front and back vehicle doors can give you a decent privacy-spot… then remove the lid (or lift the seat-cover)… squat/sit and do your business… wipe and put used TP in the bucket also… then put a few more cups of kitty litter on top… seal up the bag and keep it on the bottom of the bucket. Remember to sanitize your hands! Shortly thereafter, place a new bag in the bucket (with the previously used bag still in the bucket, under the new bag… yes, you’re stacking poops!)… put in some kitty litter… put the lid/cover back on… and you’re good to go for the next poop.

When you leave the event, please dispose of the full bags properly!
