An ever shrinking vehicle lineup meant that the Japanese brand has slowly been fading away from public eye, so naturally we thought that the Mitsubishi Outlander can't be that good, right? Wrong! This new generation of the Outlander is based on the Nissan Rogue and comes with a Mitsubishi exclusive plug-in hybrid powertrain, upgraded interior materials and Range Rover-esque a looks.

This 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV GT Premium S-AWC (yep, that's a mouthful) is as specced out as it gets, clocking in at whopping $59,598.00 CAD before in incentives here in Canada. Despite being a surprisingly good car, this price point might make this hybrid SUV irrelevant next to rivals such as the Ford Escape, Kia Sportage, and Hyundai Tucson. Can it prove its worth?
