Daal:

Toor Daal Recipe

*Ingredients:*
- Toor Dal (Split Pigeon Peas): 1 cup
- Water: 3 cups
- Turmeric Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: To taste
- Red Chili Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Fresh Coriander (Cilantro): 4 tablespoons, chopped
- Onion: 1 piece, finely chopped
-Diced Garlic

*Instructions:*
1. Rinse the toor dal thoroughly and place it in a pot with 3 cups of water. Add turmeric powder and salt.
2. Cook the dal over medium heat until it becomes tender and starts to thicken.I made it in Instant pot
3. In a separate pan, heat oil and sauté finely chopped garlic & fry it. Add Zeera and Red chillies.
4. Add red chili powder, chopped coriander, and the tomato-onion paste to the cooked dal. Mix well.
5. Allow the dal to simmer for a few more minutes until the flavors meld together.
6. Adjust salt and spice levels according to your taste.
7. Serve the delicious toor dal with rice or bread of your choice.
