CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION 213 AND YOUR INJURY CASE:

Proposition 213 is a law that prevents anyone who is a driver injured on the California roadways, and does not have auto liability insurance in force at the time of the injury, is 100% barred from collecting "pain and suffering" damages.

This is referred to as a "nudge" economic incentive to encourage all drivers to have valid liability insurance in force at all times while driving so that costs can be covered by insurance as opposed to being absorbed by the consumer. It makes financial sense, and if you don't know if your auto insurance is in force, you need to make sure before you take to the wheel in California.

How about you? Do you agree with this law? Let me know what you think in the comments below. I have had many cases come into my door where I could not take them on because they were considered a Proposition 213.

Check out my other video where I go through 2 exemptions on Proposition 213 status. This is just another reason why you need to make sure you have auto insurance coverage in place, at all times, and have enough of it to make a difference to you and your family!

Remember, insurance companies are for profit businesses, and they are watching out for your bottom line, not you as a person and what you are entitled to under California injury law. Protect yourself first and get information!
