One of the first tricks we'll cover in this video is how to change the default file format (for images) from a PNG to a JPG. PNG images typically take up SEVERAL times more space compared to a JPG, so this trick can save you a LOT of space over time. To make this change, go into the Applications folder on your Mac. Then navigate to the Utilities folder and launch Terminal.

Paste the following code and then tap the return key to lock it in:
defaults write com.apple.screencapture type JPG

We will also cover how to store your Screenshots so that they don't clutter your Desktop and several other handy tricks.
