Kookie, a kookaburra, loses his ability to laugh, leaving him disheartened in the Australian bush. With the help of his friends, Kora the koala brews a special eucalyptus tea, while Maggie the magpie and Benny the bunny offer support and learn to be patient. Eventually, Kookie's laugh returns, much to the delight of all his friends.

The lesson learnt is about the importance of patience and understanding that some things, like healing and recovery, cannot be rushed but will come with time and the support of friends.
