One complaint about electric vehicles is the sometimes initial higher price compared to gas cars in the same class.
However, prices are sinking & usually upfront costs get more than compensated after gas & service cost savings.

So if your current lifestyle requires a car and you want it to be a budget friendly switch to electric - these are the best options.

WLTP: The worldwide harmonized light vehicles test procedure is a global harmonized standard for determining the levels of pollutants and CO₂ emissions, fuel or energy consumption, and electric range from light-duty vehicles.
Compared to the old NEDC test procedure these ranges are actually achievable and represent a real life figure.

**base list price is for smaller battery, to get my quoted range you'll have to pay about 4'000 EUR extra (thx to reddit user Streetwind for pointing that out). However, you'll likely still get into the long range model for my quoted price if you consider that most dealers ignore list prices and give generous discounts.
