Step-by-Step instructions on how to replace the EMI Filter on a Whirlpool Washer. he EMI Filter, or electromagnetic interference filter, is responsible for reducing electromagnetic noise that can cause interference with the washer’s electronics. If the EMI Filter is has failed or is damaged the washer may not receive the proper power supply and may not power on or operate properly.
The EMI Filter shown in this video is Part # W11638178 (PD00086279) but the instructions in the video apply to many different part numbers and models of Whirlpool washers.
