This was a surprise announcement! Netflix after hopping on Nimona, have now moved on to another book adapt with Thelma The Unicorn. And it looks... interesting. Coming from the author who wrote The Bad Guys and with a well intentioned message for kids this looks like a movie with a great premise behind it. Whilst at the same time, we have knockoff Illumination villains, Donkey from Shrek, a Trolls-like musical, and a prettied-up aesthetic for a movie about ugliness. It's a real mixed bag coming from Netflix, but we certainly have a lot more info that the SINGLE IMAGE we had at the start of the year. Here's all the production details there is to share.
