In this video I explain the relationship between the gas and the clutch and how you can use them to make a manual car accelerate quickly from a standstill. I show you examples of different techniques and explain their advantages and disadvantages. I also show you two very fast starts, one in my learner car and the other in my sports car. Although you don't need racing driver levels of performance, having a reasonably level of skill with fast starts will help you take smaller opportunities on busy roundabouts without stalling.
