For centuries, people focussed on the heart for spirituality, but the age of science revealed that the heart is merely an organ to pump blood circulation. Islam, on the other hand, believes in mind-based spirituality. So, as per Quran, the source of spirituality is thinking, reflection (Tawassum) and contemplation (Tadabbur).
