Today I’m going to be sharing with you how to make the best chicharrones in red salsa! Two things to keep in mind, the amount of water you add depends on how runny you want your salsa, if you don’t want to make tacos but instead want to serve them in a plate with a side of rice and beans, add 2-3 cups of water. Also the amount of salt will depend on how salty your chicharrónes are. One more thing 😅 if you like your chicharrónes super soggy let them cook for 20 minutes! It’s all preference adjust this recipe to your liking 😊

Ingredients:
1 1/2 chicharrón
Corn tortillas
2-2 1/2 cups water
5 roma tomatoes
2 tomatillos
2 garlic cloves
1/2 white onion cut into strips
5 chile guajillo or New Mexico chile pods
Chile árbol I’m using 9
1 chile serrano (optional)
1/2 tsp whole black pepper
1/2 tsp oregano
Salt I added 1 tsp but it’s all going to depend on how salty your chicharrones are 😅
