Furthermore more many people’s idea of what Frank Hebert’s Dune is, comes from them having seen its 1984 adaption directed by David Lynch and starring Kyle MacLachlan as Paul Atreides. The 1984 movie not only had some serious plot and pacing issues but actually diverged from the book significantly.
