The One Who Gave Sadhguru To Us

At the Isha Yoga Center this morning, Ashramites and Brahmacharis gathered to pay tribute to Sadhguru's father Dr. Vasudev, who passed away in Mysuru on the night of 8 November 2019. The Kalabhairava Karma ritual for the departed was performed at 8:30am.
Dr. Vasudev was an ophthalmologist who served with the Indian Railways. He retired 3 decades ago from the Mysuru Railway Hospital. He was 95 years of age and died of natural causes. His last rites were performed in Mysuru by family.

Sadhguru, who is currently conducting Isha programs in the US, penned a moving tribute to his father.

Our tribute to sadhguru's father......
1924-2019 !!

#Sharing #from #an #Isha #volunteer ******************************** Could not stop myself from writing this in the memories of Sadhguru's father. 🙏🙏 I remember the talk,
When Sadhguru's mother was sick,

He wanted to go to teach Yoga north of Cauvery,
Because people were waiting for him,

His father angry with him,
Him wanting to leave his mother in that state,

He took permission from mother,
And left to transform the lives,

In decades of years,
He has never been late and never missed anything,

You may not know,
the pain of 'knowing', How Isha was born,
How the pain and ecstasy goes together,

To be utterly passionate,
And utterly throwing yourself to life,

He came back from Yoga class,
Only to see his mother's lifeless body,

He might have seen it coming,
He might have known all the way,

Even the one who knows the ways of life and death,
He experiences more deeper than us,

Now the one without whom,
Our Guru would not have been here,

Is also no more here,
He knew it also coming,

The only coming and going of bodies,
leaving behind memories,

The invocation of Jananam Maranam...
Sums it all,

Even today he will not be late for the program,
He will not miss the program,

He is pouring all his energies into you,
O' Ishas,

Remember the sacrifices of him,
His many lifetimes of sacrifices,

Do not waste away the gift that is given to you,
To taste the immortality while in mortal body,

Do not miss your Sadhana,
Keep the fire burning until everyone wakes up. .
