The 2018 short sci-fi thriller, DUST, is set in the not-to0-distant future where technology exists to "bring someone back to life" as a synthetic human.

Sydney, a young synthetic journalist, sets out to investigate a rumored black market upgrade that promises to restore emotions and humanity to synth's. Sydney's quest ultimately leads her down a dark path forcing her to confront the essential question of what it means to be human.

Directed by Logan Triplett, produced by Casey Stone, produced and edited by Jaci Alysa Herron, with cinematography by Harrison Palmer, production design by Selah Snowden, original music by Casey Stone, and sound design by Nick Martin, Joshua Moore, and Tristan Kadlec.

Screened in over a dozen film festivals and winner of multiple awards, DUST is a terrific example of what students can accomplish in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting.

This film, like all the work on this channel, has been created by Electronic Arts students at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO.

This undergraduate program emphasizes technical mastery in audio, video, interactive new media studies and computer animation.
