Ramadan, Quran & Purification of our heart & nafs/inclination

The blessed month of Ramadan is a gift from Allah سبحانه وتعالى and a golden opportunity to purify & strengthen our heart & nafs to be aligned with Islam on the example of Muhammad ﷺ.

This is particularly important given the labelling of muslims, for example, as ‘extremists’ in the UK and elsewhere for sticking to orthodox/normative Islam.

Note:
The titles of the 5 Khutbah series, إنْ شاء الله:

1. Purification of the Mind - evaluating everything through a Quranic Prism.

2. Ramadan, Quran and Tazkiyah of the Nafs/inclination. The heart & our desires are pivots for our emotions. How do we align them with the Quran & Sunnah.

3. As Muslim Communities (in the West or Muslims lands) how do we seek to purify our communities & - holding firmly to the intellectual and spiritual rope/ Quran of Allah سبحانه وتعالى wherever we maybe?

4. A purified vision for unifying as a Muslim Ummah based on 1-2-3 above and being patient while seeking the help of Allah سبحانه وتعالى.

5.Our responsibility as an ummah to present the Islamic intellectual & spiritual purification on an international level based on the Quran & Sunnah; like Muhammad ﷺ and the Sahaba رضي الله عنهم did.
