On June 18, 2023, Titan, a submersible operated by OceanGate, an American tourism and expeditions company, imploded during its descent in the North Atlantic Ocean, about 370 nautical miles (690 km) off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada. The submersible, carrying five people, was part of an expedition to survey the wreck of the Titanic. Communication with Titan was lost 1 hour and 45 minutes into its dive, and authorities were alerted when it failed to resurface at the scheduled time later that day.

A massive search and rescue operation was launched, but the submersible and its occupants were never found. The US Navy detected sounds "consistent with an implosion" shortly after the sub lost contact, and a debris field was later found at the bottom of the ocean.

The cause of the implosion is still unknown, but it is believed to have been caused by a combination of factors, including the extreme pressure at depth and the submersible's design. The Titan was a titanium sphere that was pressurized to withstand the deep ocean, but it is possible that the pressure caused the sphere to rupture. Additionally, the submersible was equipped with a number of electronic systems, and it is possible that one of these systems malfunctioned and caused the implosion.

The loss of the Titan and its occupants was a tragedy, and it has raised questions about the safety of deep-sea submersibles. However, it is important to remember that these vehicles are still in their early stages of development, and that accidents are unfortunately a possibility. With continued research and development, it is hoped that deep-sea submersibles will become safer and more reliable in the future.

In this video, we're going to explore what really happened when the Titan sunk. We'll take a look at the investigation, and the conspiracy theories that still exist today.

We'll take a look at the events that led to the sinking of the Titan, and explore the conspiracy theories . We'll also explore what you can see aboard Titan Sub, the only submarine that has ever visited the site of the sinking. Whether you're a history buff or just curious about the sinking of the Titanic, this video is for you!
