How much I lost selling my Porsche 992 Carrera 2 after 18 months of ownership with finance. Did I loose much money on depreciation & interest selling my base 992 911 before it was 2 years old? Check out the used value & trade prices.

I purchased my new Porsche 992 C2 pre pandemic before delivery of new cars became slow and the used market also started to become short of stock.
I owned the car on finance and started with a fairly large amount of money down before starting a finance agreement for 3 years of ownership.

Where I would have expected to see shallower depreciation curved on a Porsche 911 than most other cars, I found that the car actually only slightly dipped and started to return to new values.
Lack of available stock and slow delivery of new cars from the Porsche factory mean that available cars started to sell on dealer forecourts for far more than they usually should be worth.
With trade values usually being less than car value selling on a dealer forecourt I never thought about selling my 992 C2. I would have lost in depreciation and also cost of interest on the finance.
However the pandemic has caused the market to do strange things and after checking trade value since the Porsche 992 was 12 months old I eventually decided there was a deal to be made.
