In this makeover project we create a beautiful home office for my wife. This space was a storage room and used to be our son's bedroom. We love vintage and antiques and you will see the style of this room mirrors what we love. This home office project started right after Christmas. I reorganized our Christmas decor and I have made room from our huge garage cleanout project for baker's rack shelves to store all of the things that were in this room. There was alot in this space. Seasonal decor and other collectibles that I rotate around with the seasons. You will see I started out fixing the walls and painting in a neutral tone. She likes white trim so I repainted it white throughout our space. I fixed and updated the floor to the same manufactured clip in wood system that we used last year from Lowes. My wife Angela, found this amazing $3000.00 wood executive Lshape desk on Facebook Marketplace. Originally the seller had $300.00 but then went down to $200.00 and it even included a beautiful oversized wooden large leather executive office chair. You can still find deals out there if you look around and shop. My son and I went to go get the desk, which comes in 3 pieces and it was a task to bring it up stairs and set it up. I then touched up some scratches and polished the wood and it looks amazing and a huge upgrade from what she was using before. The curtains, rug, chair cover and magazine holders were purchased on Amazon. The beautiful antique oval prints were found in various vintage shops and Ebay. You can still find these prints to have an affordable bit of fashion history to make a beautiful piece of art. The large oil painting we have had for over 20 years. It was one of the first oil paintings that we bought together. It has a special place now on the wall and compliments her feminine taste. Angela likes Victorian style and she has a large collection of the mid century porcelain figurines that work nicely here as well. I cleaned and moved them from the bathroom and now they have a special place to be displayed. We went to Hobby Lobby and found her some suitcase boxes and a large basket for her wood shelf unit that keeps all of her sewing accessories organized.
