Is it fair to call Terre Haute the Left armpit of Indiana? Or should a different city be given this title instead? The criteria behind the crazy idea of calling a city the armpit of a state or a region can be quite subjective. Some people would associate the “armpit” of a state as being it’s the worst city in the state. In my opinion, an armpit of a state isn’t necessarily the WORST city in the state… but it’s a city that is run down, boring, kind of trashy, kind of ugly, kind of isolated, sluggish to declining economy, maybe the town smells because of a towering factory. An armpit city of a state to me is a pretty sizable place, yet a place that is somewhat forgotten about as a place of importance. Some states have multiple armpits and Indiana is definitely a state that has quite a few. Anyway throughout this video, I’ll discuss why I gave this Western Indiana city the title of being the Left Armpit of Indiana, as the video goes along.
