I’ve been swimming in the cold waters of Lake Superior and the creeks and rivers of the region for the last four months. The ice has finally come onto Chequamegon Bay and is now too thick for me to easily break through. But I still managed to refresh myself with the pure waters of my homeland!

This is one of my last swims in these frozen waters before returning to the mountains of North Carolina where I will continue to swim in the cold waters for the weeks ahead.
