In this video, we took a look at some proposed solutions for the decarbonization of long-haul road freight transport, specifically eHighways. The eHighway system works by supplying hybrid trucks with electricity from an overhead power line via a pantograph. Developed by tech giant Siemens Mobility, the system combines the efficiency of electrified railroads with the flexibility of trucks into a solution that produces no local emissions.
