We spent 2 weeks travelling around the ‘Pearl of the Indian Ocean’, Sri Lanka! There is so much to discover on this tropical island, full of dreamy beaches, cultural treasures, scenic mountains, fun train rides, surprising safaris and sumptuous food. In this video, we discover the soaring views of Lipton’s Seat in Haputale, overlooking the Dambatenne Tea Plantation, as well as having a splash-tastic time in the Diyaluma Waterfalls.

Our experience at Diyaluma Waterfalls was completely unexpected, unplanned and ever so delightful! In fact, if you were to ask me what day I had the most fun on our journey in Sri Lanka, this would be it! I felt so carefree and happy and we were surrounded by extreme natural beauty. Diyaluma has sequential rock pools which visitors can swim in… an experience not to be missed in Sri Lanka! Just an hour drive from Ella, it makes the perfect day trip.

If you’re visiting this beautiful country, I hope this provides some inspiration and I’d highly recommend these activities on a day trip from Ella!
