Ellie, gets up to all sorts of mischief when she's being babysat by Wendy. Wendy, the health enthusiast, ensures that Ellie makes the right choices. She swaps out Ellie's ice cream for a wholesome lunch, replacing yellow noodles with black ones. Though shocked, Ellie finds the noodles tasty!

Lunchtime is followed by an unexpected dessert twist when Wendy replaces Ellie's strawberries with blackberries. Ellie then gets ready to study with her colorful school supplies, only to have Wendy substitute them with black items! She struggles initially, but soon finds learning about bats from the black notebook fascinating. After their study time, they play basketball together, encouraging physical activity.

As they wind down for the day, Ellie is in for another surprise when Wendy replaces her favorite toothpaste and toothbrush with black ones! At bedtime, Ellie's pink bed is swapped with a black one, where she dreams and wakes up just like Wednesday. It's a delightful story about trying new things, discovering knowledge, and enjoying fun activities.
