Apart from that, both platforms have rock-solid encryption which prevents absolutely anyone - including Tutanota and Protonmail themselves - from reading your emails.

When looking at performance and speed, Tutanota delivers mail quickly and reliably. The overall performance is excellent. As for ProtonMail - the Preview Panel can be a little slow to load because this is the step at which the message gets decrypted. Apart from that - both services provide excellent attachment upload speed and transfer with no noticeable delays.
