How to replace keyfob battery from a 1999 VW Beetle with key fob transponder fccid NBG735868T. When I checked the fccid number it shows that this keyfob should work with the following models and year Volkswagens. Also When I purchased the Beetle the owner told me that this was not the original keyfob. VW makes several keyfobs that look similar but open differently. This was on a 1999 Beetle

All you need is a small screwdriver and it takes a CR2032 battery
