This honey bee is collecting nectar from a pink Tea tree flower.
Honey bees that return from foraging at flowers pass their nectar or pollen on to other worker bees in the hive to feed them, who in turn feed other bees deeper in the hive or store the food in cells of the comb. Bees who have found a new or good source of nectar or pollen tell other worker bees in the hive where to find it by performing dances. This is called the dance language of bees.
