What makes Boise Idaho such a livable city? There's a number of factors such as cost of living, four distinct seasons with mild winters, and numerous recreational opportunities at your doorstep. A source of many of those recreational activities is the Boise River, a 102-mile tributary of the Snake River that cuts straight through the heart of downtown Boise. If you've spent much time around rivers you know they're their own vibrant, living entities. Each with their own unique personalities that influence the landscapes and civilizations around them. Since the dawn of humanity people have settled next to rivers because of all they provide a population. The Boise River is no different and it's easy to see why Idaho's capital city and largest metropolitan area was built along this mighty river.

On this episode of The Adventures of Jon & Chad we explore the Boise River and check out several activities that it provides. Of course there's the popular float along the Boise River from Barber Park to Anne Morrison Park. Along the way we'll show you a couple bridges you can jump off , an activity that is totally legal in Boise. We'll also show you some of the fishing opportunities the Boise River offers. Imagine fly fishing at sunrise before heading off to work, people do that here. And not just people with flexible hours who can walk into the office whenever they please, lawyers, bankers, and local politicians do it. When your commute to work is only 10 minutes and your office is next to your favorite fishing spot, why not?

Is Boise Idaho the most livable city in the country? Maybe we'll convince you on this episode of The Adventures of Jon & Chad!
