In this week's photography tutorial video I give my five top tips to improving your photography in 2024, and none of them include the best aperture settings, how to use a flash or which cheap camera to buy. In fact, these tips cost nothing but have all been crucial in my own photography in my years as a professional photographer and in my personal work.

These tips are more generally about photography and cover the importance of learning, of practicing and even down to the simple act of tidying up your workspace.

Are they things you've never heard before? No, of course not, but they're such basic principles that I sometimes feel they're easy to overlook when we look for the next 'quick fix'.
