2017 was one of the most important years for Black Entrepreneurship in the history of the world.

I created this video to highlight what I consider to be the 9 must know moments of 2017 created by Black Entrepreneurs.

I strongly believe no matter the color of your skin, it’s important for you to know each of these stories because the lessons they carry will help you build your business and your career in 2018.

1) Innovation is critical but doesn’t mean hi-tech.

2) Entrepreneurship isn’t always about building something entirely new, often times it’s simply about building a better version of what currently exists.

3) The more digitally connected we are the more we crave and will pay a premium for in-person experiences.

4) Launch a podcast in 2018!

5) No matter how many years you’ve spent building your business, you can destroy it in 30 seconds.

6) As long as you want future dividends, never stop investing in yourself.

7) Some of the most lucrative products and services in 2018 will be focused on helping black women transition from working for someone else to self-employment.

8) Depression impacts 30% of all entrepreneurs but we don’t have to suffer alone. There is help.

9) The oldest black owned company in the U.S. celebrates 135 years in business. Their history teaches us the real power of entrepreneurship.
