All E46 cabriolet owners are afraid of soft-top failing and i got my first issue as well. Couldnt really got much information from internet and decided to troubleshoot by myself, gave a easiest shot try replacing / refilling hydraulic fluid. Adding fluid is not enough but you also have to do one more thing!
