How do you start the motor and drive a 16" gun turret? Watch this!

Welcome inside Battleship IOWA's Turret 3. We had six cameras running on different decks within the turret when we rotated it on June 30, 2023.

One of those places was the train operator's station and the nearby area. It was from here that we started the motor and trained (turned) the turret.

Turning the turret was the result of months of hard work and research by our team, as well as input from Iowa Class battleship veterans. We make it look easy, but it's most definitely not.
