Nicola Sturgeon has been questioned about Alex Salmond claims at first minister’s questions. In a heated exchange, Jackie Baillie, the acting Scottish Labour leader at Holyrood, told Sturgeon there was 'something rotten at the core of the SNP and it is poisoning our democratic institutions'. Sturgeon said what was poisoning institutions was politicians 'hurling assertions and accusations without a shred of evidence to back them up'
