There are so many iconic Jordan 11 colorways, but one of our favorites is the Space Jam Jordan 11. Vick has restored plenty of Jordan 11s in the past including the Concords and Cool Greys, but it’s been a long time since a pair of Space Jams have come across his desk.

Today Vick is going to show you how to restore a pair of Space Jam Jordan 11s from 2016. This pair of Space Jams is pretty beat and the icy sole is extremely yellow. Vick is going to detail the best way to clean your pair of Jordan 11s, and how to remove the yellowing from the sole of the Jordan 11s.

To start, Vick removed the shoelaces and inserted the Adjustable Shoe Tree. The Space Jam Jordan 11 we’re working with today happens to be a massive size 14…normally our Shoe Trees wouldn’t be long enough to fit a shoe this size, but we just started offering Adjustable Shoe Trees that fit anywhere from a size 12 to 18…we’re the only company out there looking out for those of you with bigger feet!

After using an air compressor to blow off any surface dirt and dust on the Space Jam Jordan 11s, we can start cleaning these up with the RESHOEVN8R Sneaker Cleaning Solution and Brushes. Vick used the Soft Bristle Brush to clean the entire uppers, the Medium Bristle Brush to scrub the midsole, and the Stiff Bristle Brush to attack the outsole.

This shoe cleaned up immaculately. But this isn’t just a cleaning, we’re going to fully restore these Jordan 11s too, starting with the midsole. The midsole is pretty creased, so Vick carefully used a heat gun to remove the creases. This method works wonderfully, but you have to be careful not to overheat the midsole, or else it could expand and warp.

Onto that nasty yellow sole. To unyellow the sole of the Space Jam Jordan 11s, Vick applied some RESHOEVN8R Sole Revive to the yellow areas, wrapped it in Saran Wrap, and let it cook in the Vick 2000 Indoor Setup for 5 days! Each morning and each night, Vick reapplied the Sole Revive to really deoxidize this outsole.

The results speak for themselves. There is no better way to unyellow the icy soles on Jordan 11s.

Now that the soles are icy again, we need to shine up this iconic Jordan 11s patent leather. Vick used a RESHOEVN8R Sneaker Wipe to clean up the patent leather, and then used RESHOEVN8R Mink Oil and an electronic buffer to shine it until he could see his reflection in it.

And just like that, this pair of 2016 Space Jam Jordan 11s looks untouched. Vick absolutely brought this pair back to life. Admittedly this wasn’t Vick’s most laborious restoration, but it was definitely satisfying.

Vick did this pair justice.
