Spoilers for season 5 finale πŸ˜‰ *Turn up video quality for best experience

I'm going to wait until this episode comes out in English to decide my thoughts on it because...I really don't know how I feel about it yet. πŸ€¨πŸ€”πŸ˜πŸ˜…πŸ™ƒ But one thing I do know is that Marinette as Bug Noire was pretty awesome and as much as I doubted how a final battle between her and Monarch (without Cat Noir) would go, it was actually pretty epic and I will definitely be using those scenes a lot. (Which is ironic because when I first saw a spoiler for Bug Noire's design I was very skeptical since it seemed a bit...much. Lots of braids, clashing colors, green polka dot eyes... πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜‚ BUT it actually looks way better in the episode and Marinette pulls it off wellπŸ˜‰β€πŸ’šπŸΎ)

That being said, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, and hope you enjoyed this video!

One of my favorite things about any good story is how no matter how hopeless things seem the heroes never give up and keep fighting for what they believe in. They may stumble, or falter, or fear what the evil may bring, but in the end no matter how many times they get knocked down they always choose to rise back up and the heroes in Miraculous Ladybug are no exception.

(I mean how cool was it when Monarch drags Marinette out of the cabinet but instead of being afraid or running away, she just faces him head on and makes every action count)

I think in some ways it's easier to make that choice to rise up when it's all or nothing, like a climactic part of a movie, but in real life you might be struggling with something day in and day out with no end in sight. What's the point in even trying to make a difference when things are just going to be the same way tomorrow? That's a thought I've struggled with a lot, and it's so much easier to just let negative thoughts and gloomy feelings take over you rather than putting in the effort and wrestling through the pain to resist them, but it's also way more satisfying to finally beat back those thoughts and rise up to a better mental and emotional place, even if you can't change your physical situations.

There are times though when the weight is too big for us to carry and we all need someone to come along beside us and take our hand, helping us to hold on till things get better. I am so thankful for all the people (including some of you πŸ€—πŸ’•) who have come along beside me and encouraged me through difficult times, but there are also times when they can't be there for me, and I really do feel like it's me facing a world of evil and heartache on my own.

Maybe you've felt like that too (I'm pretty sure we all have at some point). But no matter how bad things get, did you know that there is someone who promises to be there for you even in the midst of them? Someone kind and powerful who can bring hope and peace and give you the strength you need to rise and take that next step however challenging it may be. That someone is Jesus who died on the cross and rose again - proving not only his power but also his love for you, since he sacrificed himself to take the punishment for the sins we make and give us a chance to have a restored relationship with God and the promise of eternal life in heaven. (The Bible says in Acts 16:31 "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.")

Maybe that doesn't sound interesting to you, or you've heard it dozens of times before, but have you ever wondered what it'd be like to have the freedom and power to choose who is the ruler in your life?

I think we all want to be our own ruler and in some ways we are since we can make our own choices and are responsible for our own fate, but in the grand scheme of things there are really only two sides to be on: the devil and the world's side which wants to keep you blinded by selfishness, fear, and despair, or God's side who wants to give you a new life filled with hope and purpose free from the lies and evils of the devil.

Jesus doesn't only have the power to free us from our sins but also from any darkness that clouds our hearts and threatens our minds. The battle is real, and it's never easy, but I'm learning that the more I focus on Jesus and his amazing love for me, the less overwhelming my fears and problems can be since I know he is strengthening and supporting me through them. (And he will do the same for you if you choose to let him. πŸ’œ)

The little decisions you make to fight back do make a difference. Keep holding on and giving yourself a chance to heal and grow, knowing that there is someone always there to take your hand and you are never truly alone. You will rise up out of this and you can decide what or who is sitting on the throne in your life. I believe in you!

Always a friend (and rooting for you!)
Christina
