The electric motor in the Tata Nexon EV produces 145PS and 215Nm of torque while the Mahindra XUV400 puts down 150PS and 310Nm of torque. Both the XUV400 Pro and Nexon EV facelift support 7.2kW AC charging and 50kW DC public charging. Claimed charging times for 10 per cent to 80 per cent range are 56 minutes for the Nexon EV and 50 minutes for the XUV400 with the same 50kW charger.

The Mahindra XUV400 starts from Rs 15.49 lakh but that's for the the EC Pro variant that gets a 34.5kWh battery. If you want the bigger battery pack then you will have to upgrade to the EL Pro variant that is priced at Rs 17.49 lakh. Similarly, the Tata Nexon EV's price starts from Rs 14.49 lakh for the medium-range car with a 30.2kWh battery. The long-range car with the 40.5 kWh battery starts from Rs 16.99 lakh and rises to Rs 19.29 lakh.
