HOW TO TIE A BOAT TO THE DOCK with NO CLEATS - How to a tie line to a piling

Being able to tie up to any dock under multiple scenarios is an excellent skill to keep in your back pocket! In this video we cover how to tie your dock lines around pilings for both long term and short term mooring. We cover several knots to tie around the post including the round turn, clove hitch and half hitches. We then explain how we prefer to set up our bow lines, stern lines and spring lines depending on the wind, tides and current!
