Acura's best seller just got a whole lot better. For 2022 the MDX is getting a complete redesign based on the same styling elements in the new-for-2021 TLX. There's a new double wishbone suspension, a new 10 speed automatic, and there will in fact be a Type S trim with a turbo V6! Unfortunately at least for the moment the hybrid model hasn't returned and we don't really know enough details to speculate how it'll stack up against the tough competition from Europe, but expect the new MDX to keep the title of "best selling Acura" and IMHO, it could even be the best selling luxury crossover unless Lexus ups their game with the RX...
