2025 Honda Civic Redesign - Upcoming Hybrid Car

Hi everyone, and welcome back to AUTOMAGZKING! Today, we're taking a closer look at the highly anticipated 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid.

While the Honda Insight may be bowing out, the Civic Hybrid is a welcome addition to the popular compact car segment.

Building on a Strong Foundation.

The Civic Hybrid will utilize the platform of the critically-acclaimed 11th-generation Honda Civic.

This means we can expect the engaging driving dynamics and stylish design that have made the Civic such a success.

Early indications suggest the Civic Hybrid will closely resemble the European-market Civic e:HEV, retaining the upscale interior and attractive exterior that have garnered much praise.

A Hybrid Powerhouse.

Although Honda hasn't officially confirmed powertrain details, we can glean some insights from the e:HEV.

The Civic Hybrid is likely to feature a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors.

This potent combination, if consistent with the e:HEV, should deliver a combined output of 181 horsepower and 232 pound foot of torque.

While official fuel economy figures are still forthcoming, we anticipate ratings on par with, or even exceeding, the outgoing Insight.

The 2022 Insight achieved an impressive 55/49 miles per gallon city/highway for lower trims, a benchmark the Civic Hybrid aims to surpass.
