Most of the time, I feel like soups aren't that filling, especially when they're based on a broth. But this Saudi soup does things differently, it adds oats to a spiced broth resulting in a savoury porridge. Filled with chicken and aromatic warming spices, it's a game changer for people like me who don't really enjoy soups that much.

3 cardamom pods
2 whole cloves
3 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
3/4 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp ground coriander
15g tomato paste
2 grated tomatoes
150g oats
