With the recent release of the Ecobee Thermostat Premium, I thought it was a good idea to have a look at the company's own camera, even though it came out a while ago, as it seems to be a largely overlooked camera. The Ecobee SmartCamera is one of those rare cameras with a digital pan/tilt/zoom feature that can be used in combination with its built-in tracking function, whilst not having to rely on an internal motor.

Whilst we're all about HomeKit here, it would seem churlish to ignore the included Amazon Alexa voice assistant built into the camera itself, which actually works well.
