Johnny plays King Louis XV & Maïwenn stars as Jeanne Vaubernier. She is also the director of the movie. The movie headlined Cannes Film Festival in 2023 and is now making its way opening in new countries around the world.
Terry Gilliam, director of Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas & The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus showed up to support Johnny. A sweet reunion.
Some of the Pirates of The Caribbean cast attended as well. The "Pirates" co-stars that went included one of my all-time favorite actors, Stephen Graham. Stephen's played in Public Enemies As Baby Face Nelson, he has played in multiple fan favorite TV series & movies. He will be playing in Johnny's upcoming 2nd directional project called Modi.
The movie is about the famous artist and sculptor Amedeo Modigliani. It also stars Riccardo Scamarcio & longtime friend Al Pacino. Johnny played in Donnie Brasco with Pacino back in the late 1990's & they've remained friends ever since.
