This is a repair for a CBR 929 ECU that triggers the injectors but not the coils. If you have a bike that is spraying fuel (look down the throttle bodies while cranking to check) but isn't making any spark, chances are this is what is wrong with it. I had two that died in the exact same fashion, and there is a few more accounts of this happening on various forums.

If you don't feel like listening to me ramble for half an hour about why I think this happened and how I got to where I am, the location of the resistors you need to dig out and replace is at 15:23. I have replaced them with two 0.47 ohm wire wound resistors in parallel for the time being and they work fine, but are mounted externally due to the size. If you want to replace these with SMD's and seal up the hole for a cleaner finish, two 0.25 ohm resistors should be fine. They're available from digi key or mouser
