Artist’s Note:
Ok Not To Be Ok is a very emotional track for me; I’ve been dealing with crippling anxiety for many years and people who are close to me, know about it. The emotion of this song was perfectly captured by Marshmello and Demi Lovato, and the lyrics instantly resonated with me. I started sketching out the song according to how I was feeling at that particular moment. I wanted the verse to sound like a few friends jamming in the living room with their ukulele and guitars, and the drop to sound like a celebration and acceptance bundled with the signature Lost Stories vibe. It’s super important for us that people take this expression of ours as a little step towards destigmatizing mental health discussions.
